Manuscript Evaluation

If you need help determining what type of edit you need or if there are parts of your manuscript you’re unsure of, a manuscript evaluation is a good place to start. You’ll receive an editorial letter with examples on how to apply feedback. Partial manuscript evaluations are available.
Book Coaching
$60 per hour
Do you have an idea, an outline, or a few chapters, but your challenge is figuring out where it all goes? Then book coaching is for you! Book coaching is a collaborative process between the author and editor, focusing on story development, character design, and more.
Developmental and Line Editing
.035 – .06 per word
The developmental edit focuses on a completed manuscript’s big picture (structure, character development, and more). The line edit focuses on the craft elements, improving language, and style. Developmental edits are offered as a stand-alone service (one round of editing) or can be combined with line edits (two rounds of editing).
Publish- or Submission-Ready Package
.09 per word
This package offers developmental and line edits, plus copyediting and proofreading (four rounds of edits). *Copyediting and proofreading are only offered in this package.
